WHAT?!!!

so i get the following im from patrick at 11:15 tonight :

"well, getting ready for bed."

WHAT?!!!

1. i don't think i've ever seen him go to bed before 2 am
2. HE'S GOING TO SLEEP BEFORE ME

he'll probably wake up 4 hours after me, but still...

i am shocked
so shocked
that i had to blog this moment

in other news
i ate a delicious cobbler tonight
and read some books while listening to some good music

life is good.. as soon as you leave eb1

grah

i
am
tired

being an officer in clubs
means you have to go the meetings

grah

gwah

this morning has been weird

as usual, i am already at the eb1 lab

last night, matt was telling me about horrible sushi.. and on the bus today, i started thinking of the worst sushi i've ever had
thinking about it makes me want to throw up

I MISS GOOD SUSHI!!!

also
my 306 webass is finished, and correct... i am happy :-D

this lab was dead 10 mins ago... but now there are 2 other people here
not worth blogging - sorry folks

and music makes this place seem so much cooler than it really is, as i have mentioned before on several occasions

missed opportunity

the one night i'm not in the lab
i miss two brownouts!

i mean, how great would that have been?!

oh well

for some reason, i am reminded of louisiana

that was an awesome summer

funny thing happened today... brad was talking about ihop, and i realized that i know where every single ihop in baton rouge is, but don't know where anything is over here

I HAVE THE PAWAA!!

so

main campus's pawaa went down, but i still have my pawaa!

and my japanese essay is done

(20:09:45) this airport

(20:10:05) it's really slurred haha
(20:10:11) oh
(20:10:11) and
(20:10:20) I'm going for the lettuce wedge
me : that salad changed my life
(20:11:57) but the steak made up for it, no?
me: very yes
(20:13:48) people are speaking chinese behind me
(20:13:53) and to the right I hear some korean
(20:14:00) and on the loud speaker I hear japanese
(20:14:04) and I'm tying in english
(20:14:09) ah international airports

(20:19:58) I'm not spoony enough for my own blog, so I leech upon the blogs of others(20:20:04) which, in turn makes me spoony...

re: that italian guy (aka prime minister pimp)

me: will you be able to make that kind of promise when you're 69?
weather boy: hmm... good question

a little nervous

my ra from last year is sitting right next to me in this lab
she was nice

i forgot her name though

i'm sorry

i would hate myself if i didn't blog this:

prime minister pimp

how ballsy

it was a long weekend

without my friends in this lab!

oh how i missed them!

40 year old streaming video watcher with huge headphones
guy who takes his shoes off
girl with ugly jacket

ahhh.... it feels good to be back

oddly, i can concentrate a lot better here than in my room
and this place isn't messy... heh

i was watching headline news

they brought this dude to speak about the zodiac

he said i'm going to be the center of gossip and have digestive problems

WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?!!

in other news, planetes vol 4 is AWESOME

i mean
yes
bandai got CHEAP
got rid of the whole 2nd disc and the cool slipcovers

BUT

it has my favorite episode, and they deconstructed the op, which i feel is the best extra feature EVAR

matto

me: we'll have to go to a barnes and noble too
matto: do you even remember how much kenshin i have to buy now?
matto: it's like a mangasm
matto: in my pants
me: all the kenshin
me: will kill you
matto: i'll be reborn as battousai!

remember ven ulla dance? ulla dance again!

a few mins ago, i had the following conversation with weather boy:

me: so weather boy
me: how have you been occupying yourself?
weather hoser: complete and total debauchery
me: i'm going to put that in my blog
tenki no tetsujin: score

I LOVE GMAIL

i got the following dialog box when my sister's popup blocker wouldn't let gmail clear her cache:

"grrr! your popup blocker won't allow us to clear your cache"

computers hate me

like, you have no iea

first there's that whole thing with my laptop, which HOPEFULLY will be completely resolved with the new ac adapter

then there's the fact that i now can't receive a single email from patrick

GRAH!!

you know, the other day i was thinking about it... i might keep going to the labs to do homework. i'll miss those funny people

of course, now i'll have the advantage of new music everyday!

HAH

my laptop is back, AND I'M STILL BLOGGING

well
actually
using my sister's laptop because mine is still iffy
but still....

in other news
my sister is watching beethoven
a movie which forced me out of my beautiful nap!

i made the following two comments at the tv:
"they're only making fun of him because they have low self esteem"
"she doesn't want him, he's from a low-income family"

the 90's were goofy
ahhhh... the decade of my childhood

also
REGISTRATION AND RECORDS NEEDS TO HURRY UP!!!
STILL no room confirmation

gwah!

hmmm..... (day 5)

i think i just saw a person from my high school in this lab

she's using a widescreen imac

nice choice

the printer guy (day 5)

have you ever seen the printer guy?

he is the FRIGGIN' man

he just graced the lab with his unassuming presence
armed with his handcart of paper
took out 3 reams
threw them in the printer

TAKE THAT, EMPTY TRAY FOUR!!!!!

most awesome thing i've seen all week

and then he left

something so awesome i can't go without blogging it (day 5)

this happened two weeks ago, but i feel is worth mentioning

kyle commented on how weather boy looked well-kempt
i asked if he combed his hair

he proudly proclaimed that he never combs his hair

dot

dot

dot

he got a haircut a few days earlier

funny weather boy

goodbye? (day 5)

lots of people think this blog will go stale again once i get my laptop

fear not, peoples! whenever there is work, and i don't want to do it, there will be blog posts

...if i feel like it

i kind of like the exhilaration that comes from writing about the people sitting next to me in these labs, hoping they'll read my screen and be like "that's not nice, dude"

i would then tell them that the correct spelling of "dude" is "dood"

in other news
my japanese ta hates the way i write -te
well, too bad! i think it's attractive

you know... (day 4)

the person right next to me in this lab is browsing german websites

the other day this dude was working on matlab for ma116... he was a cool guy, the maths are probably going to kill him though

and oh yes

danny choo's blog is awesome
but not for computer labs!
damn camera angles

however, franz ferdinand was made for computer labs

what i did this evening (day 4)

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

i had to change my shirt
it smelled like bad memories

other than that, got some dvd's for no apparent reason.
circuit city blows, except when it comes to dvd prices. i don't know they pull it off. but i'm not complaining!

i also got some awesome quotes:

from patrick:
"when there's a will, i want to be in it!"

from dahteil (who says she got it from awaymessages.com):
"Homework: a teacher's way of saying that going to class and paying attention isn't enough."

you know
people say this blog may not last long
i do not disagree
i'm not placing any bets... have you seen peter lately?
that beard has a mind of its own
(a beard to be feared?)

it's back? (day 4)

so, i check my phone today... and i got a call from a number i didn't recognize.
i checked my voicemail
it was digitz
my computer's ready

freaky

then i go to the mini career fair

it was chaos

1. there was a line to get in
2. the place was PACKED with grad schools (without deodorant)
3. the grad students ate all the pizza
4. NO ONE THERE WAS WEARING FREAKING DEORDANT
i was about to suffocate

i will enjoy the return of my laptop, these keyboards feel yucky
and i know the people in this lab ALL too well

btw, brad has a test tomorrow/later today on 500 kanji
he may die
wish him luck!

and my polo shirt still smells like career fair

how disturbing

sunrise in the lab (day 4)

saw a couple of cool things this morning in eb1 (yes, i'm already on centennial):

1. a beautiful sunrise
2. an empty computer lab (even more beautiful)
3. an awesome afro (like, best real afro on a white guy --ever)

in other news
brad's coming back to the states on monday
matt still can't write a story with a point
registration and records needs to hurry up and tell me if i got nelson 3400, so i can email peoples

and now...
eb1 snack shop breakfast
and communications engineering professor hunting

ciao!

stupid things that happen in labs (day 3)

1. people leaving their stuff unattended
2. people bringing their dinner
3. people eating their dinner
4. people not wearing deodorant
5. people talking loudly on their cell phones
6. people doing 4 out of 5 of these things at the same time

it's midnight(ish)
time to leave this blasted lab once more!
only to go to another one in the morning!

this is the part where we throw our heads back and laugh. ready?

HAHAHAHAHAHA

the signal processing song (borrowed heavily from "i want to be a producer")

oh i fouriers all the morning...
and i matlabs all the evening...
until them reconstructed signals be right

day three of lab life

so, if you've been living under a rock these past few days... i've been living without a computer since sunday night.

it's tiring; i basically live in labs and in eb1

i've noticed a lot
so much that matt gave me a quote which i felt the blog needed to be resurrected for

in other news
i found out goro taniguchi (planetes, gun x sword director) is coming to seattle in march

i pitched a trip proposal to weather boy
he shot it down
what a hoser
he also has no sense of humor

the glorious return of wabasco!

so, after telling matt about another stupid thing i witnessed today in this lab, he gave me this beautiful quote, which i felt was worth reviving my blog for:

"you know, you're turning into that character that most shows have
who does nothing, watches everyone
and ends up knowing more than god"

*big smile*

you know, that stupid thing i was talking about was this person coming here alone and then going off somewhere, leaving all their stuff here

after 20 mins... THEY'RE STILL NOT BACK
