po boys taste delicious
mmm... all nice and warm and crispy... who ever knew empoverished orphans could taste so good?
so we didn't do anything yesterday, except go to wal-mart (the 10th time in 3 days) and jcpenney. i found out (the hard way) that all their shorts don't fit me... sigh... gotta make another trip back there.
i also found out (the hard way) that this state has 9% sales tax.... fun...
there are two things you CAN'T find in this state
1. anywhere to recycle
you can't find anywhere to recycle cans or even cardboard boxes.... along with the huge exxon mobil refinery (which looks beautiful at night) next to the mississippi river, this has got to be the cleanest city on earth
2. anywhere to eat after 10 PM
seriously. there are 20 restaurants per city block in this city, and ALL OF THEM CLOSE AT 9 O'CLOCK. everything in downtown closes at 5... why????? do they want to starve all the salarymen who can't leave their offices until 6. and also, this is the FATTEST STATE IN THE UNION. WHY CAN'T YOU FIND ANYWHERE TO EAT WHEN YOU WANT TO EAT???? i mean, north carolina is pretty damn fat, but this state is considerably fatter and doesn't have one restaurant that's open after 9 whereas 90% of the restaurants in north carolina are. even the ones that don't have enough space for 10 people to sit down.
if you don't already know, po boys are sandwiches made with fried fish. so so good. i went to copeland's. there's a copeland's in cary now. go there or else i don't know you anymore.
that's all for now, now to endure the 100 degree heat @ 11 AM in the morning
but the girls are still cute and the water still doesn't smell like hell, so i'm happy
