wish list

hmm

so

today

was very uneventful

worked on a sudoku for an hour and a half
got nowhere

played the stand alone complex for an hour and a half
got somewhere
then i got a tachikoma
and died
HORRIBLY

then
i started working on this blog post
and decided on what games i want for my ds lite when i eventually get it (and i had better get it before july!):

definitely getting:
brain age
pokemon fire red* (gba)
riviera** (gba)
age of empires
feel the magic

eventually i'll get...
everything final fantasy
xenosaga
guilty gear (i predict that this game may suck...so i'll keep my money for now)

i know i'll be forced to get a wifi connection game
but i'm not familiar with the portable incarnations of any of the franchises..... so i'll let mooching decide what i get

and trust me
i WILL borrow most of the games i play

buwahahaha

*was about to get leaf green...but i can never find fire red anymore, so that's the one i'm getting! just so that i can screw someone else over!
**zero recommended this game... i never heard about it. but then i saw screencaps. and it looks REALLY good and zero has damn good taste. so...what the hell, it's worth a shot

  • Riviera is indeed a great game. Keep in mind it's no cookie cutter RPG like FF/AI/WA etc. You take three characters into battle and pick four items to use in battle and each character uses an item different from the other, some better than the other. Ex. Ein (the main character) can use broadswords the best and Rapiers the second best. Fina is the girl you want if you want to get the best use out of Rapiers. And you also have overdrives that build up like in a fighting game, attacking and getting attacked.

Don't forget, comming this fall is Yggdra Union made by the same people who made riviera and it looks like an SRPG.

  • as for guilty gear on the DS lite, I have no clue, but

"(i predict that this game may suck...so i'll keep my money for now)"

O_< You know you couldn’t get away with that without me saying something, right?

^_^; Well, You are probably right on that one though. I have a GBA Emulator and tried out GG on it and wasn't too impressed. Though, having access to GGXX #Reloaded for the PC probably didn't help my interest in the GBA version.

So yeah, I wouldn’t expect much from a handheld version. Then again it is the DS, but I still wouldn't expect much.

  • mooching some time on brain age from you sounds like fun.
