this is what happens when i finally get off my lazy butt

i finally listened to the fafner ova ost in its entirety

and wow

it is just absolutely amazing

i really hope geneon licenses the ova and the ost... i would pre-order both

yeah, heavy.com was an amazing surprise. those naruto amv's are some of the best i've ever seen and the "true crime" and "shadow of the colossus" videos are almost as good as the tourette's cowboy.

about guilty gear ds...
a. zero has informed me that it does not have the nintendo wifi connection logo on it...online multiplayer may be tricky (or non-existence if you're not within 30-50 feet of another person with a ds)
b. i can't see myself playing the game for long periods, apparently the small size makes the console look cool...but it's really easy to fatigue your hands from it (heard many reports saying this was the one drawback of metriod prime hunters, which looks spectacular btw)
c. i need to see how it holds up in person - i'm really curious to see how they're going to pull off all those amazing moves i loved from X2, but i'm worried they won't be executed as well as i would like
d. one "big feature" is the mini-game collection...but honestly, i've never been a really big fan of mini-games aside from suikoden's mahjong and the xenosaga 1 casino. the videos i've seen of the gg ds mini-games collection haven't been too amazing either
e. it's a lot easier to violently button mash on an expendible controller than a handheld console!

but this may all mean absolutely nothing if i decide to get it because i want to make my game collection as diverse as possible, and i need portable jam

let's see...what else was there to say...

on the anime front...
-gundam 0083 has taken me by surprise and i love it... i think i might get the model of unit 02 just to complete my collection (my two models are the two versions of unit 01)

-this anime season is going to ROCK. there is so much great new stuff out, and so many more awesome series coming out. (honey and clover 2, anyone?) i started up 5 new series today, and i'm planning on picking up some more. there are some great comedies out there, some amazing mech shows, and some really twisted psychological thrillers...the three genres i'm a complete sucker for (sigh)

-i am an idiot for finally deciding to catch up on series in my backlog and series i'm behind on. it's been bad enough trying to catch up on school rumble (so many eps in 2 days) but now i have to catch up on yakitate, the naruto manga, and OH SO MUCH more. to make things worse, i'm finally watching more angelic layer and nadesico. so..yeah... i'm screwed... but at least it'll be filled with fun stuff to watch

in other gaming news...
-i finally finished the stand alone complex game. the bosses were chatty. the execution had it's faults. the weapons were awesome. the cg cutscenes were spectular.
it was true ghost in the shell
-from what i've heard, suikoden v is full of some crazy awesome new features. i remember the naval battles, but now there are land battles AND land/naval battles. also, they've apparently fixed the one-on-one battles. i'm looking forward to it...when the price drops (there are all of 10 suikoden fans out there... the price is going to drop)

if you want the thrilling conclusion to hardtack montana...
eppysode 2
airplane glue and monkey poo

now watch as i teleport into the choo choo!
i'm magical!
