wabasco is back...again?
whee
i restarted my blog because
1. my computer is dying again
2. i don't feel like doing work
3. i want to rant about my headphones
okay, so i bought some new headphones today. i paid $13 (gwah). and how do i feel? after about 13 minutes of use (irony), not too bad. i'm testing them by listening to opera.
they're maxell digital soft tip ear buds. i can't remember the model #. i threw the blister packaging away. i got them to replace my sony over-the-ears headphones. i can't tell you which i like better.
here are pros and cons of each:
pros
sony
1. cheap ($10)
2. always stay on
3. very little distortion
maxell
1. in-line volume control
2. comfortable
3. come with a convenient carrying case
4. gold-tipped
cons
sony
1. easily damaged
2. "unique" design
maxell
1. more noticeable distortion
2. shorter cord
the first time i broke my sony's, it was because i fell asleep in them and mangled the cord. the second time, it was because the cord got damaged in my backpack (even though they were in an outside pocket...) i have hope for the maxell carrying case, but not TOO much.
overall, i don't mind the $3 difference in price because of the case and in-line volume control. you can't really go wrong with either. if you're going to use them while running, the sony ones are better. if you're going to be working for a long time, and don't want to feel any discomfort, the maxells are for you.
i'll be honest, i only stick to these headphones because i don't want to invest in noise-cancelling yet. but i think that will happen eventually, whether or not i like it. ha ha ha!
keep watching for more details, with guts and hard work!
